Artist's description:

I ever wonder why animals at the zoo seem to have a little edge on them? The lion never quite look totally happy. The animals seems to have a lot on their minds. I think that's because they know that they have lost there freedom. I've been to India. So many times. In Gujarat jungle of Gir. I've seen lions running free in there territory. And compared to the ones in the local zoo, there is a different bounce in their step. More cockiness in their roar. The difference? The lion in the zoo is just existing; the one in the wild is living. The animal in the jungle lives out the purpose he was created for. he reigns over his dominion. knowing this I have decided to paint and create this self respected animal the lion king and bring out from cage and zoo and made him free and alive in to my lively painting. Hope this lion want be captivated in my house for long. An this lion king is now looking for new home.
