Ah, Lupines!
It is the glory of Spring, when the landscape puts on a brightly colored mantle of spring flowers.
This is a house that I paint in all season, but Spring is my favorite. It is an old house that the owner is slowly restoring, pulling the barn back into place, scraping down and painting the siding. He doesn't seem to mind when set up on the side of the road and paint his lovely house.
I love the way the lupines frame the foreground and the trees hold the background.
