This work embodies the feeling I associate with the anticipation of travelling to see a dark night sky. Sometimes, my partner and I travel for 6 hours to reach Coonabarabran and the Warrangbungles to view the best dark night sky in Australia. The skies in the winter time on a clear night are inky black and I so look forward to seeing the night sky, but it's the excitement on the way up that exhilarating. This work was painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

This work is painted on gallery canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is mounted onto a stretcher being 122 cm in width by 180 cm in height. The work is shipped framed.

This work was created on the 29th of June 2019.

In my paintings, I use the finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish. This work is sold framed.
