Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

These are the 5th and 6th canvases of my "John and Mary" series. I did several sketches of suburban Houses in North London but the setting is based on my memories of the Sussex Downs and also landscapes I'd done in Jersey in 1970. Some friends of Larry posed for a drawing for the Bedroom painting. They had some acting experience and I guessed that they might agree to pose.. they were a couple I thought but had actually ended their relationship but were still happy to pose. I was more nervous than they were and had to have a few drinks to do the drawing. Later Larry posed with a large cushion.. and another friend Emma also posed with one. i enjoyed creating the bedroom decor making it more symbolic than realistic and concentrating on the patterns of fabrics etc. I thought I'd have a small version painting of John and Mary meeting on the wall .I think the image is slightly cropped at the bottom it's not easy to do on my old macbook.
