"Jellyfish" is the largest piece of artwork I have created to date. Consisting of 4 canvases each one 2ft by 3ft, Jellyfish in total spans 3ft x 8ft making it a dramatic and striking piece for any room.
Painted on stretched canvas, a base layer of oil paint creates the depths of the ocean, the shadows and shafts of light that ripple like a curtain in the darkness. Unique hand cut stencils and masking were then used to create a different movement in each of the jellyfish as they swim between each other.
The piece has been designed so that each canvas can stand on its on merit or hung together in one group. My personal preference and vision for the piece is for each canvas to be framed separately in a black frame but them hung together a inch apart of a pale wall as a contrast the darkness of the ocean.
Each frame is 3ft high and 2ft wide, the edges have been painted so could be hung unframed if wanted .
