Artist's description:

This 3-color etching with spit-bite aquatint is printed on BFK & Japanese paper, using the chine collé technique. I created the image based on one of my daily mandala drawings. The image was inspired by a whitewater rafting trip on the Colorado River and it is about navigating the vicissitudes of daily life.

Process: This is a fine art print, created in a very limited edition of 7 using traditional multi-plate etching techniques. Each print is hand-pulled by me using a Sturges etching press so that slight variations may occur between prints. The print image is 4 x 4 inches on 11 x 15 inch white BFK paper (100% cotton and acid free) and cream-colored Japanese paper.

Materials used:

Charbonnel etching ink, 250 g Rives BFK printmaking paper, Sekishu Japanese paper
