Artist's description:

Isla Mujeres, the Island of the Women is a tiny jewel in the Gulf of Mexico just off the Yucatan Peninsula. The far end has a perpetual ocean breeze that proved perfect for the set up of this photograph.
The parachute is a small military issue and when attached to a pair of argyle sox, it billowed quite naturally in the wind.
This is a play on perspective as one would first assume a full sized chute.
Finally, it is lit with a small flash unit and an allowance for a dusk time exposure. It is a delicate balance of light and dark, but well worth the wait, especially in paradise.
