Artist's description:

'Is it too late now to say sorry?.....' I was listening to a lot of Justin Bieber last summer when I painted this. I never claim to have great taste in music!

This painting owes a debt to two influences: the work of H R Giger and the animated film Akira. Towards the end of Akira there is a fleshy, grotesquely beautiful scene of transformation, and Giger's work is rife with tubes and suggestive shapes that threaten to come alive.

'Is It Too Late Now' was also a personal challenge to create an image that wasn't pink - although there are areas of pink they are secondary and I think complementary to the main body of blues and bright pop of yellow.

This painting is a real show-stopper in the flesh, and will look great on a feature wall. It's on a box canvas so no need to frame, although there's nothing stopping you from framing it if you wish - I think something thick, white and glossy would be fab.

I also do commissions, so if you like what you see feel free to message me!

Materials used:
