Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

“Are you sure/That we are awake? It seems to me/That yet we sleep, we dream”
― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

This is a multi-layered, textured artwork using acrylic paints. It is the state between deep sleep and wakefulness, when we see flashes of inspiration in our dreams.

In this artwork, blue, white and black colours are built up to create an interplay of lustrous colours, along with an iridescent copper to give a shimmer that changes colours from different angles, and at different times of the day.

The true iridescence and textured feel of this piece is difficult to show on screen, and can be truly appreciated in person.

MATERIALS: This handmade one-off artwork is on cold-pressed acid-free archival Fabriano paper, using high quality Winsor and Newton paints.

SHIPPING: The print is sent loose and unframed rolled in a tube for safety with an attractive acid-free tissue wrapping from my studio 'Hedge and Hog' in the north-west of England. The artwork is itself secured in a cello sleeve. I take great pride and enjoyment in wrapping my prints and drawings for the customers and I wish it to be a luxurious and joyful experience to open one of my artworks.
