Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

In the Lakota language, "Inyan" means stone or rock. It is also the name of Lakota warrior Crazy Horse's favorite war pony. While we don't have any existing photos of the real Inyan, we do know he was a black and white paint. We also have evidence as to how Crazy Horse painted Inyan before a battle. In this painting I've depicted How Inyan might have looked, ready to go off to fight the enemy.

Materials used:

canvas, oil paint
