Original artwork description:

'Instead Of Waiting' is an original drawing in ink and pencil on hand stained paper. Measuring 140mm x 220mm this is a delightful hare study. The writing in this piece is a section taken from another of my favourite poems entitled 'After A While' written by Veronica A. Shoffstall.
It's a gorgeous poem and I've adapted lines from it to suit the theme of the drawing where a waiting hare realises she can plant her own garden for flowers...she doesn't need to wait for someone to give flowers to her... (although that's nice too)
I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the drawing.
