Original artwork description:

I've got an old instax camera, think polaroid, but smaller, rectangular photographs. If i dared to take a photograph at night I'd always get the same result, nothing! The camera needs clear bright conditions to give you a recognisable picture. I used to shake my fist in anger and curse my hubris every time I ended up with a blank photo, as I felt I'd wasted some film. Now, I look forward to my lack lustre photography skills because I can paint over the result!

Acrylic on photograph.

Materials used:

Instax photograph and acrylic paint
