Artwork description:

This painting is inspired by a mascaron of Neptune (Roman God of sea) located in Bordeaux (France).
Carved ornaments of windows, doors, arcades, fountains or bridges, mascarons are frightening masks that chase the spirit of evil or depictions of deities, elements, seasons displaying the attributes and temperament of a home. Coming from Italy, they arrive in France in the sixteenth century, and there are many in Paris, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Nantes... I found interesting to reinterpret by painting these frogotten jewels of the Renaissance and show that they can have their place in our modern life.
This canvas is very sober, on a light beige background, with dark red shades to reinforce the impression of volume. I preferred here to highlight the complexity of the drawing.
This is a unique!
The side of the painting are painted, framing is not required. The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity.
My works are very carefully packaged, a tracking code is provided and they are all insured.
