Artist's description:

This piece was done originally for an exhibition at Brush, Brighton called 'Lungs'. The exhibition was done in memory of a family friend who had died of Cystic Fibrosis and consisted of various works from a group of artists inspired by the theme.

I love this piece; it's design evolved quite a bit during the making of it and when I had finished I realised it reminded me of the photos taken by Hubble of distant nebulae and super novae which in turn inspired the title!

There is a tiny amount of damage at one corner which came about as a result of the original framing process. If you would like to see this then please message me and I will send you a picture.

I am currently raising money for Mind, a UK based mental health charity. I am hoping to raise £800 and will be doing the Mind Hike in June 2018; a 24 hour walk around Cornwall to raise awareness. All profits from the sale of all my batiks will be donated to this, so please #makemeanoffer and know that you will be supporting a great cause!
