Artist's description:

I like to paint still lives of my personal collections of objects. They are usually things people have given me and have sentimental value. I have a collection of elephant themed objects as I am very fond of elephants. The 3 little elephant candles were given to me by my sister Rae and are far too pretty to burn. The purse was given to me by my good friend Lucy. I love reds and oranges and with the saffrony colour of the background I was reminded very much of the rich colours of India. The elephants have small ears which denotes they are Indian elephants as African elephants have large ones. The decoration on them is very much Indian too. I love colour and decoration and elephants so I enjoyed painting this very much.
