Artist's description:

This original painting was inspired by the colors and fullness of the forest. Relishing the highly chromatic colors offered by acrylic, the colors are exaggerated more and pushed to the limit. In this all-overpainting, the surface is covered from edge to edge and from corner to corner. Your eyes are invited to wander the panel everywhere, to follow the lines, shapes, and values. Each area of the composition is given equal attention and significance. Dispensers were used to apply thick pure hues in a pointillistic style on the panel. From up close, the haphazard stokes are abstract and become more realistic from a distance, reminiscent of impressionism. On the finished work, an interference violet was troweled over the surface giving the work a violescence and luminescence. And finally two coats of varnish were applied.
