Original artwork description:

A semi abstract view of a distant Venice across the water using high quality oil paints on stretched cotton canvas. I have tried to capture the feelings of serenity and calmness that the scene holds through thin glazes of transparent colour and thicker passages of impasto paint.

The picture has been painted using high quality oil paints on a square stretched canvas. The painting continues around the sides of the canvas and it comes with appropriate fixings ready to hang straight onto your wall.

This is an original one-off artwork. I don't release prints of my work as I believe they can't quite offer the same presence that comes from the physicality of the original painting as an object on a wall. The light falls differently on the textures and glazes on its surface.

A coat of varnish has been applied to protect the painted surface from dust and UV light. The work is signed on the front and a catalogued certificate of authenticity is attached to the back. It will be carefully packaged and sent fully insured via a tracked courier.
