Artist's description:

I was listening to radio 4 which was talking of how we are afraid to let our kids go play in fields these days and are therefore continually scheduled or indoors.
It reminded me of how I spent all my childhood playing, inventing and creating birds nest from mud in the long grass. Most memorable was the long hot spell of 1976, the hottest on record, wearing only shorts and wading through nettles.
Children should spend long days in tall grass, often.
this particular piece was created using 1970's craft magazines, complete with swirly orange patterns. Groovy!
