Summer camps for children were very typical for Russia during the Soviet period. Sun, forest, and river for swimming, pioneer swearings, songs by the fire, statues of young pioneers, and, of course, a small monument dedicated to the Leader. I explore the ruins with sad curiosity, and I feel sorry for these statues because they are the embodiment of this regime's lies. They look so proud, but they are empty inside.
The artwork is made on watercolor paper using the author's technique, combining the use of watercolors, ink pencils, and acrylics.
