Recently, I was at the Dutch coast for a painting holiday, and we painted the seas and skies as a group.
The weather was highly unpredictable, extremely windy with frequent bouts of rain. That inspired me to come up with paintings that are colourful, spontaneous and highly impressionistic.
Just when we thought we were doing fine, there would be storm clouds scaring us. Soon after, there would be some sunlight peeking out. An absolute adventure and one where I cherished each moment. More than depicting the colours in front of me, I have captured the mood of the seas and the winds. This painting depicts the scary sky as a storm was brewing.
The painting has been completed in the highest quality oil paints. It ships flat and unframed with a protective coat of varnish. If you have any questions, write in!
