Isn't it funny how inspiration strikes? I start each morning with a slice of lemon in hot water and one morning I was just about to pop a slice into a mug when the idea for the next in my series of surreal paintings popped into my head.
You've probably heard the expression 'if life gives you lemons, make lemonade'. Well, instead I decided to make art.
If you've seen any of my other surreal art the theme is unlikely objects in space (the original idea was sparked by the notion of the 'space junk' which really does float around up there). So, I decided to turn the moon into a slice of lemon (if it can be made of cheese why not lemon?)
This is painted using various types of acrylic paint including fine art spray paints and acrylic paint pens as well as regular acrylic paint applied the old fashioned way with a brush.
The edges have been painted and as it is a deep set box canvas it can be hung as is without a frame or can sit upright on a shelf if you prefer.
Please note this is signed on the side of the canvas as with most of my paintings but there isn't an option to mention this when listing the painting here.
