I should have named this painting "if I was a drop of water in a waterfall"... Falling together with other drops, down a huge vertical waterfall... It reminds me of the freedom to look inside without boundaries, no judgement, just flowing, almost a meditation but in motion: profound and calm joy and freedom are there.
This is part of a 12 artworks project, where I have also performed some installations.
The overall idea was a reflection on water, some thoughts to dedicate to the basic element of our life, under the point of view of ecology but also as a matter which can teach us with its functions, its characteristics: it flows, it never stops (Leonardo said that water is freedom, as it flows around obstacles instead of bumping against - I wish I was water!).
"If I was a drop of water1" is part of this project and a precise invitation to imagine another weight for ourselves, another volume, new functions.
Talete said: water is the tool, the goal, and the principle... And the wave of Hokusai has brought to this stage of my artistic life a new beginning!
