The painting represents our timely, numbers life in general; disappointments, blessings in disguise, trust, hope, joy, magic, dreams, confidence, living in your own world in the real world, boundaries, experience and love that's life! Andy Warhol’s Gold Shoe, 1958 inspired me creating the gold embroidered high heel shoe from wallpaper to filling the painting with embellishments; natural gold silk cocoons, papers, poster papers, a movie ticket, a number, gauze, postcards - photographs with permission by photographer, Henk van der Leeden of Amsterdam, Netherlands, 23.5 kt. (karat) genuine gold leaves (98% pure) and genuine sterling silver leaf.

The number 412 could represent Lot Number 412, an AUCTION in LONDON, a buyer's, seller's auction paddle or it could represent time, the period of time it takes to sell.

Cynderella was sitting by the fireplace disappointed, so sad spelling her name in the cinders with the broomstick handle when poof! her fairy godfather appeared. What’s wrong Cyndi? There’s a party ball being held at the prince’s castle tonight an open invitation for all and I am not welcome to attend. Well, we’ll see about that! He reached out with his hand and said follow me, “ little one.” They quietly, slipped through the back door and when he twirled the broomstick handle the most beautiful garden appeared. The backyard acreage now had their neighbours gourds and pumpkins growing abundantly, moving through the fence wire around the trellis were silk cocoons weaved the most beautiful white, cashmere dress swirled with genuine sterling silver leaf throughout.

Cynderella's garden was filled with potatoes and carrots were many birds, butterflies, mice and frogs gathered even a toad appeared with a movie ticket to pass her night along. Her fairy godfather tapped her shoulder and poof! the dress appeared on her body fitting her to a T as she twirled with her worn out shoes he tapped, tapped the broomstick handle and immediately, they turned into gold embroidered wallpaper high heel shoes. The gourds turned into men wearing long, golden coats and the carrots turned into a 24 karat, genuine gold coach round like a pumpkin. She was in awe! The toad handed her the movie pass, the birds whispered a message in both her ears, “your curfew is at mid-knight, 12:00 pm and don’t be late,” said her fairy godfather.”

Cynderella hugged her fairy godfather, stepped into the coach and went to the movie dressed like a princess. Later, she arrived at the party only to hear, “her dress is to die for and the shoes.” As, they waved their fans and chatted to each other they questioned, “who is she, where is she from?” The prince noticed her and personally, asked her for a dance which she graciously, accepted. They danced the night away swirling and twirling to many dances, they were both so happy! All of a sudden the clock was like a magic mirror and she recalled the message whispered in her ear, “your curfew is at mid-knight 12:00 pm and don’t be late.” Not to disappoint her fairy godfather she quickly, excused herself and when she was walking her heel broke. “Oh no,” she broke the glass ceiling! Cynderella removed her shoes and while running she tossed one shoe then the next to running, walking barefoot relieved to have made it home on time.

The next day, everyone was speaking about the mysterious woman at the party and how her dress was to die for. There was a shoe found of the mysterious woman, such a vague description. A poster was posted and apparently, the prince was now on his spiritual journey travelling from every country to every city to find her.

Someone looking afar with a much louder voice applauded and instantly, Cynderella woke up hearing, “It’s him, the prince is arriving.” Knock, knock, knock! It’s the prince he’s arrived with a team of supporters, a pink chair and the shoe. They welcomed the prince and waited, for his reply. Would it fit? Many tried and it didn’t.

Cynderella entered the room with tea and cookies only to say, “did you know that 2 o’clock is the best time to try on a pair of shoes.” She thanked the prince for listening and said, “You have a good heart.” The prince responded promptly,” so do you," and with one shoe in hand requested," please, have a seat.” It was a surprise to all. How can that be it fits, perfectly?

The moral of the story, “believe in you, obey your curfew, don’t question your fairy godfather's wisdom otherwise, it results in being grounded.”
