I'm just back from a Weekend during which my Brothers and I Reunioned with our oldest friends. The weekend's "Frosting" was going to see an exhibit of a wonderfully creative, lively, quirky Artist; an Aunt to some of our old pals... Whenever I am visiting my Home town, I spend some time in the Home/ Studio of this Artist, whose name is Loretta... Just to be in her company, to regard her works and hear the Stories behind each piece, is tremendously inspirational for me...... This piece is inspired by a combination of some works I regarded during this visit with her; a Painted Drawing of a Bicycle, some portraits she has done, and the woman herself... I contend that we as Artists, never know from whence our next bit of inspiration will come, in the same way that we can never be certain of where lightning will next strike...
