Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

The starting point for this linocut is a line from a Van Morrison and the Chieftains song, 'To Mo Chleamhnas Deanta' from Irish heartbeat. The full line is 'I heard the Blackbird and the Linnet sing that my true love had crossed the ocean'. I have set my version along Winchelsea Beach near Rye in Sussex where I was born. The boat is a local shape fishing lugger with 'the true love'sitting at the helm, going from Rye to a foreign town. There is a swooping mass of seabirds flying between the wooden groynes on the beach and at either end are the Blackbird and the Linnet singing in the trees

Materials used:

oil based ink,japanese paper,mount board,wooden frame
