Artist's description:

The title of the painting references Picasso's famous quote "I don't seek, I find", but inverting the process. This is a meta-painting joke, about the painters that seek desesperately their painting style, imitating all the styles they find around Art History.

This picture has 12 separate tables of MDF with 12 different styles that have influenced me, from Romanic to Informalism:

1-Fauvism 2-Dufy 3-Informalism 4-Impresionism
5-Schiele 6-My own 7-Realism 8-Flat/Pop
9-Expressionism 10-Picasso 11-Dalí 12-Romanic

I sketched the model and elements of the picture first, and so I painted each table separately.

As this work is divided into 12 separate tables, it's possible to hang them all together or with some distance between each table (recommended).

This package is pretty heavy.

Materials used:

Acrylic, Indian Ink, MDF board

I do not find, I seek (2007)
