Paul Gauguin is an influence here. Some of his themes, or maybe parts of his language, have been modified and moved around the canvas. One of Gauguin's foibles that helped me was that a lot of his trees are the colour blue. It may sound a small thing but it got me going. I wanted to include a lot of nice yummy blue shades as well as other nice colours with a hint of the surreal.

This painting evolved with the title coming last although it could have been made for it. It is one of Paul Gauguin's quotes, or close.

This is an Acrylic painting on canvas. It's quite a large canvas and the sizes are approximate. The actual size is more exact in Centimetres - 60 x 90. This canvas is on a deep edge stretcher so gives the options of hanging with or without a frame, or of removing from the existing stretcher and arranging framing as wished.
