Artist's description:

The revered CHANEL NO.5 is created using the most simple and basic food - CORN. The corn is carefully sliced to form the iconic carcass of this legendary parfum. The bright yellow colored corn is a symbolism of the notions of luxury, status and need. (Yellow is the emperor color in Imperial China)

I strongly question the definition of hunger and luxury. Of staple and status. What feeds you personally? I believe and hope with the right education and awareness, the hunger of luxury can assist and benefit the hunger of those living disadvantageously.

Would you like a bottle of Chanel No.5?

Materials used:

Acrylic, metallic paint, resin, sweet corn and UV protective varnish
