This September I have been on a five day painting trip in the Norfolk Broads hosted by A Brush With The Broads event. We had our canvas' stamped to authenticate the timing it was made. Then set about our four days as we wished to create our pieces wherever on the broads we liked. This year I stayed in Ramworth Broad. And created a range of pieces both here and elsewhere. This one was created on the day of exhibition at How Hill. The weather wasnt' too great but at least it didn't rain and made for this very subdued but lovely coloured painting. I think it really reflects the feeling and light of the day. Plein Air painting is supposed to be about giving a sense of the place at that time and spotting details you might otherwise miss in a photograph. I love this painting and i'll hang it on my wall until it sells.
