I used a found photograph of a building in Hove to create this piece; I was drawn to the angle that it was taken from and the perspective of it and immediately wanted to create a piece of artwork from it.
Using the linocut process really allowed me to capture the essence of the classic regency architecture of Hove with the black railings against white wall.
First of an ongoing series of buildings with fire escapes. The second in the series ('Eastbourne') is part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019
