I am so fortunate to live in the country side, and this is a scene I just had to whip out my phone to take a quick photograph of. It's a mild, just starting to get warm, Spring morning. The leaves have just started appearing on the trees, the birds are in full song, and the horse has its coat off for the first time this year. The grass is the tastiest bright green spring grass and delicious. The sun gently warms the your face...
From the photograph I took, I then sketch the scene in pencil on paper. I have flipped the image traced it onto some lino have carved away all the white areas, inked up the black areas, and hand burnished (printed) this print.
The ink used is artist quality archival ink, and it has been printed onto Japanese Hos-ho paper, by hand in the traditional way.
The print is mounted in a white mount board with a black core which sets it off wonderfully. It is sealed in a cellophane envelope, ready to give as gift or to pop into a frame. Each print is posted in cardboard envelope.
The mounts fit a standard 12" x 10" frame. The image size is 8" by 6" approximately.
All are signed and dated by the artist. This print is a limited edition of 10.
A certificate of authenticity which details the print process is included with each print.
