Hornet Moth No. 1 was painted in a realistic style in the early 90s and sold to a collector who lived in Seattle. This new version utilizes the 'neo-divisionist' method I have been developing over the past few years. In fact, it is the very first of the neo-divisionist painting I have completed. This painting won the first place (tie) in the Cubism Category of the 2012 American Art Awards. This work of art is acrylic paint on archival quality stretched canvas that is 18" in width, 20" in height, with a stretcher depth of .75" -- it is fully stretched, with no staples on the side. It is an original work of art, not a print or reproduction. It is sold unframed and is ready for a suitable framing of your choice. The sides of the painting are painted black for easy and immediate display. The painting is signed on the front by the artist. Please note that colors may vary slightly from the actual painting due to variations in my camera and your monitor. Painting is carefully shipped with postal insurance and includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. This image is Copyright ©2013 by Randal Huiskens.
