Almost 3D
Hopcyn is a striking piece, he is lively and interesting. I could look at him for hours! Hopcyn features lots of grey to break up the colour and I feel offers a nice balance. Using different shades of my favourite rainbow palette, created some sections that look almost 3D. Some sections use the darker shades, some the lighter shades and others use both – I think this contributes to the piece being so interesting. The shapes that have been created are also very interesting, it’s as though different sections are fighting for space. Some colours are running into and through other sections which also makes for good viewing.
