The painting was inspired by memories of the artist childhood home and her mixed cultural background. The piece is comprised of resin, iridescent colours and silicone oil. She used the memory of my home to create the piece and used color theory to develop a provocative theme. Home is a one of a kind piece. Delicate yet deep emotional responses are provoked as viewers interact with the piece to ground and stabilize it. A painting that explores belongingness and its relationship with our sense of security and familiarity, while evoking the human need for stability.
