Artist's description:

Hiraeth is a sort of homesickness for a home which you can not return to or a home which maybe never was. It is the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past.

This series is an exploration of feeling lost between two places. A captivation of the moments where you don't feel like you fit in the world around you. Not in a bad way but just in a way that doesn't sometimes make sense. The black and white blocks with space in between reminds me of residing in a place that isn't stable or understandable. But with cosmic intention there is beauty as a whole, the synergy of black and white, of belonging and longing, these Hiraeth pieces respect the complexity of now.
