Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

While trekking towards Triund in Himalayas, we encountered an infant sheep being carried up the mountain by shepherd boys, to be reunited with its mother. This was a very special journey for me -- the first trek for my 4 year old son. In the painting my family has become a part of those mountains - poetically speaking. The temple in the mountains, has a special reference. I am not very religious but, while we were filling gas before going up to Dharmsala - the attendant said "won’t you visit the Chamunda Devi Temple?" And we did!
