Artist's description:

Landscape showing a hilltop path across yellow flowering brooms, pine trees and cypress on a slightly overcast day in Tuscany.

I discovered this marvelous spot towards the end of my recent stay in Tuscany - unfortunately, the weather was a bit indecisive on that day, oscillating between rain and sunshine, but I adored the experience nevertheless.

The painting was done "alla prima" on location. It is painted on oil painting paper prepared with a grayish "imprimatura" or undercoat. The latter shows on the unpainted borders of the paper, but is covered by the mat.
The painting is painted on a paper sized 30cm x 40cm: the mat size is 40cm x 50cm and will fit into a standard frame of this size, as shown on the sample image.
Oil paintings on paper are inherently a bit duller than their counterparts on canvas or panel, so I would suggest using a frame with glass to get back some of the luster.
