Hikers standing on the crater's edge of Mount Batur observing the sun rising. Mount Batur is an active stratovolcano in Bali Indonesia. It normally takes four hours to hike up to the top of this volcano but our tour guide knew a shorter path that only takes two hours. Shorter also meant steeper so it was very enduring getting to the top. We were pressed for time in order to reach the top before sunrise but all the pain was worth it in the end.
