Hexafoil

The Daisy Wheel or Hexafoil, which looks like a six-petalled flower drawn with a compass in a single endless line that was supposed to confuse and entrap evil spirits. These ritual marks were cut, scratched or carved into our ancestors’ homes and churches in the hope of making the world a safer, less hostile place. Perhaps now is the time to return to these ancient ways…?

Part of a series of nine prints I've created based on Witches’ marks known as 'Apotropaic' marks that were meant to kept us safe from evil.

Hexafoil is a limited edition giclee print numbered and signed by the artist.

Titled, numbered and signed by the artist.

edition of only 10 exclusive signed prints on high quality 250 gsm smooth matt paper
