'Here Today' is a stark reminder of the vanishing African Rhino and what might not be here in the future.
The picture is made from high grade Winsor & Newton willow charcoal on 300gsm Fabriano cartridge paper. 'Here Today' is a classic example of Freddy Paske's unique style of using negative space. The image is purely just charcoal and paper, no white pigment has been used at all and all highlights are made with an eraser.
The bespoke frame is made by a professional framer from a high quality wooden molding. The image is protected by anti-glare, shatter resistant plastic which is to allow the picture to remain as light as possible for its size.
Perceived colour in photos may alter slightly due to lighting conditions.
Freddy is passionate about his subject matter and this animal series is the start of a project called The Bigger Picture. This will see Freddy working with anti-poaching teams in the field and documenting their work through painting and drawing. Keep updated by subscribing at www.freddypaske.com
