Artist's description:

This mixed media drawing is one of a series of drawings I have completed on the theme of sheet music. I have attempted to capture the joy and pleasure that music can bring to a person. The procedure is as follows: Firstly the figure is sketched in graphite, secondly the colour is added using coloured pencils and finally the musical score is added in black calligraphy ink. It is a very delicate and painstaking procedure, but hopefully the finished result is worth the effort! This particular drawing follows on from the success of the original "Head of Music" which was exhibited at the prestigious Royal West of England Academy annual exhibition some years ago. The drawing hung close to an original watercolour by HRH Prince Charles and was sold to the Head of Music of the nearby Clifton College. Thank you for looking.
