Artist's description:

This picture was made the very first time I saw Loch Assynt. I had been driving for a few hours, approaching Assynt from the North, and after a final bend there it was. The haziness , the hills and Ardvreck Castle in the distance and the warm sunlight on the rocks in the foreground stopped me in my tracks. I had to work rather quickly, the light never seems to wait until the photographer has properly set up. A moment of fleeting beauty it was nevertheless.

Your artwork is made using pigment ink and is printed on Epson Ultra Smooth Fine Art Paper, a stable archival fine art cotton rag paper. It has been shown however that continued and prolonged exposure to sunlight will in time damage all ink and dye based materials. It is therefore recommended to hang your artwork out of the glare of direct sunlight.

Your print comes mounted on a thin conservation grade pvc board, which helps to prevent any possible problem with moisture. Image size: 34cm x 27.5cm. The white passe-partout (Canson) is 6cm wide on the left, upper and right side, and 8cm on the down side. Consequently, the artwork measures 48cm x 39.5cm.

My signature, the edition number and the title are written on the passe-partout and also on print itself, should you ever feel the need to replace the passe-partout.

Materials used:

Fine art matte paper, mounted on pvc board, passe-partout
