Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Hay Bluff is one extreme end of the Hay range of hills which host Offas Dyke the historic border between England and Wales

In June, the storm time, clouds pile up and the sun backlights them, dramatically, before they break dropping torrential rain on the Bluff and The Black Mountains.

The power of the light and the drama of the storm intimidate the traveller on foot or motor car.
