Artist's description:

Done from a day out in the rural paddy farms. It was so beautiful to see the women and the birds together, the birds were not shooed away, but was considered part of the set up!
On a serious note, the disparity in wages for the women farmers is a matter of concern.
The typical work of a woman farmer is limited to jobs, such as sowing, transplanting, weeding and harvesting, that are considered less skilled and are paid less wages than their men counterparts. Gender equality and woman empowerment has to happen at the grass root level.

Materials used:

Winsor Newton oil colors on a mdf board done with palette knife.
