Artist's description:

Experiencing the 'wilds' of Iceland's natural world in 2014 was an awe inspiring event. The Icelandic landscape is vast, wild, and desolate while at the same time hauntingly beautiful leaving an indelible mark.
Reykjavik city is home to the beautiful state of the art 'Harpa' Opera House. Its abstract design emulates Iceland's icy climate: Towering with its shimmering glass architecture cascading against sky and sea.
The photo image I captured whilst inside the building... I became mesmorized by huge silently hanging glass sea birds above me. The original photo was taken from a horizontal position. By manipulating the image further created a dynamic interesting effect a sense of the sublime and surreal abstracting the abstract! Which adds to a great contemporary feel.
This work is professionally embossed onto transparent acrylic board -the image is seen through the acrylic.
