Artist's description:

A long awaited sculpture from my part as it required many steps before it could be materialized. So here is the giant mosquito with the smilee face at the thought of vampiring a living being. Most people dislike mosquitos and for good reasons, but this Happy Bloodsucker with its funny smiling face somehow finds the way to our heart.
Made from entirely beach found materials such as glass candle holders, metal wire and driftwood, this one of a kind piece could belong next to a pond or where fits indoors or outdoors.
The piece of wood is an absolute rarity. The wood grain is also very special and the artist has yet to discover its essence.
A video of this artwork can be supplied upon request.
A large sculpture of this kind requires special oversize transportation.
A wonderful sculpture for the passionates of unique collectables.

Kwagiulth legend tells about 'The Cannibal at the North end of the World' who was enticing all the humans with a rainbow colored smoke. He would then capture them. A clever Chief dug a huge pit fathoms of fathoms deep and tricked 'The Cannibal at the North end of the World' who fell into the pit turning to rainbow colored ash. The Chief cast a spell on him saying;'You will no longer harm my people as 'The Cannibal at the North end of the World' but you shall be a Mosquito'.
