Artist's description:

In this piece I wanted to take the most of watercolour's translucent quality by changing my usual water/pigment ratio. By using less pigment I achieved a more of a typical watercolour feel. I also steered clear of building too many layers of paint for the same reason. The resulting work has a very light and fresh look to it, typical of a watercolour where paint allows the texture of the watercolour paper to shine through as it were. The subject matter is one of the male lion exuding self-assertiveness, dominance and power.

This watercolour was executed on high-quality Daler-Rowney, acid-free, cold-pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper, using Winsor & Newton professional water colours.

The artwork would be safely shipped to you from London in a heavy-duty, wide-width postal tube.
