This is an original horse oil painting by artist Christopher Clark. There's a moment when a horse stops what it's doing, turns and looks at you, and you connect with it for a moment. They seem so intuitive and intelligent, like they're just reading you and understanding you in a split second. Or they're just hoping you have a yummy apple or a horse cookie in your pocket.
This is another original horse painting in which I did all the brushstrokes going in a diagonal direction. I've been liking the challenge, and of course it has a lovely effect on the texture of the paint.
This painting was done with oil paint on stretched canvas. The sides are painted black, the painting is ready to hang as-is.
