This stunning painting won the Qld Alumina Ltd Best of Show 2012 award. As the waters slowly made their across the flooded plains in 2009, they drenched the flats and brought new life to everything. It was wonderful to see after 10 years of drought.
The title for this painting comes from perhaps the most famous Australian poem, written by Dorothea McKellar, ‘My Country’
