Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Since from my childhood. I was so keen to know how a little bird woodpecker menage to make hole in tree trunk? When I grown to adult I was using electric drill to drill through wood. It was difficult to drill through wood. This bird must have powerful RPM speed to do it. Then I thought I should paint this little bird. The Green Woodpecker is the largest and most brightly coloured of all British woodpeckers. I have use Watercolour to paint it. Using watercolour is difficult task to produce painting as I have to keep colours bright at is recognize by their colour. Eventually I was happy with the results, way it come out. Hope fully this bird will find new home soon.
